Locatus Explorer ® Footfall

You may be about to assess a potential (shop) location, or you may be working on the development of a shopping centre. If so, you will need to know that there are enough passing shoppers, or how people move through the shopping centre.

A Footfall Report gives you an insight into the patterns of activity and flow within a shopping area, how many people pass by, and the routes they follow.

The arrival and departure of ‘crowd-pullers’ can often change a shopper’s path through a shopping area. Because we have been using a uniform method of counting for many years, we can also successfully identify changes over time.

City of Enschede, 2003 and 2004

The two intensity maps of Enschede clearly demonstrate the possible consequences of a new development on the edge of the town centre. You can see a clear shift in footfall flows. To find out the number of shoppers and footfall flows in your shopping area, order the latest footfall counts. The counts can also be combined with past counts.

From Amsterdam to Barcelona

10 years of experience. 10 years of comparable footfall counts in the Benelux area. September 2011 we expand our counts to Barcelona, Cologne, Paris and London.

One Saturday, four countries, four different cities, four counts using the same consistent method.

Bespoke counts

If you would like a count at a different time or in a different place, we can help by conducting a bespoke count. For example a baseline measurement followed by a subsequent count. Ask about our bespoke counts. Björn Jansen will be happy to tell you more about our footfall counts. Call him on +31(0)348 490277 or send an e-mail to bjorn.jansen@locatus.nl.
